Outdoor Access & Safety
Outdoor Access Terms & Safety Information
The access ticket or outdoor season pass is neither refundable nor transferable.
By purchasing your access right or seasonal membership, you accept the inherent risks associated with
outdoor activities offered on our network: sprains, heat stroke, sudden allergies (plants, insects, etc.),
wildlife encounters, insect bites, etc.
You understand that our trails are not continuously patrolled and that in case of emergency you must call 911.
You also understand that a large portion of our network crosses private land; please be courteous and stay on marked
trails to avoid damaging vegetation.
Safety and Preparation
- Familiarize yourself with the map: terrain characteristics, trail difficulty level, estimated duration.
- Check the weather before heading out, especially in the mountains, and avoid hiking if storms are forecast.
- Do not go alone and, if you must, inform someone of your itinerary.
- Charge your phone, but remember that cellular reception can be weak in the mountains.
- Bring water, food, and warm spare clothing, as conditions can change quickly.
- Carry a first aid kit.
- Use appropriate equipment that you have mastered and tested.
Courtesy and Environmental Respect
- Yield to uphill hikers: those climbing the mountain have priority.
- Leave no trace: pack out all your waste, including used toilet paper.
- Keep your dog on a leash at all times and pick up after it.
- Clean your soles at trail entrances to avoid introducing invasive species.
